Approximate Map Location
Finding your current IP location

The map will appear automatically when approximate coordinates are available.

IP location is an estimate

The result reflects network registration and geolocation data. It cannot identify a person or an exact device location, and VPN or mobile-network addresses may appear in another city.

IP location tracker questions

Can an IP tracker find an exact home address?

No. IP geolocation is approximate and commonly identifies a provider service area or nearby city. It does not reveal a precise street address or device position.

Why does the map show the wrong city?

Internet providers route and register address ranges through regional network locations. Mobile networks, VPNs, proxies and recently reassigned IP ranges can make the estimated city differ from the user location.

Can this tool track IPv4 and IPv6 addresses?

Yes. Enter a valid public IPv4 or IPv6 address. Availability and accuracy depend on the registration and geolocation data returned for that address.

Does searching an IP contact that device?

No. The tool requests registration and geolocation information from a data provider; it does not connect to, scan or identify a person using the target device.
